Financial education is the core of our vision and mission at A Shared Initiative, Inc. We capitalize on our knowledge of personal money management, and financial products and services to provide education to the public as well as employees of our partners in the private, government, and nonprofit spheres. We work with clients of all ages and backgrounds to ensure their long term financial security. We also partner with schools and youth based organizations to offer financial literacy to children and young adults.
Our highly trained and certified financial educators provide customized seminars and workshops covering topics such as basic banking, credit use and abuse, budgeting, predatory lending, and the basics of borrowing. We utilize nationally recognized curricula such as: National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE) High School Financial Planning Program curriculum, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC) Money Smart curriculum.
ASII tailors financial education offerings to meet the needs of its partners and is always seeking new opportunities to provide this much needed service. Partners come to value the instruction provided by our organization not only because of its content, but also because of the fact that after the education is done their clients additionally have the opportunity to take advantage of free one-on-one counseling sessions with our credit counselors. Counseling sessions address matters including credit improvement, debt management, budgeting, and saving.
