Bruce “Sunpie” Barnes is a master harmonica player, accomplished accordionist, and a jam-up drummer who leads his band through a beautiful mix of Blues, Zydeco, Caribbean and New Orleans style music. In addition, the multi-talented Sunpie has a budding career in film, appearing in several major Hollywood productions and numerous national commercials. Sunpie also works as a naturalist and tour guide at Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve, imparting his vast knowledge of Louisiana’s swamps and wetlands. |

Since 1997, Frenchy has called New Orleans his home and his muse. The vibrant local music scene pushes the artist's creativity and expressiveness to new limits. And he has branched out further by tapping into the city's sporting events -– ranging from weekly Saints game as the “official team artist” to Super Bowls and NCAA Championships. During Mardi Gras season he can be seen marching in parades, painting onto canvas while other toss beads. |

A Shared Initiative, Inc. (ASII) was formed to expand anti-poverty programs initially designed by ASI Federal Credit Union, a community development financial institution, serving predominately low-income individuals and families. Since Hurricane Katrina hit, a vast majority of area residents have fallen upon financial hardship to an extent that is hardly imaginable. ASII is committed to being a part of the rebuilding and recovery process for those hit hardest by this devastating storm.
ASII's mission is to assist the rebuilding efforts of families and communities by providing affordable home ownership opportunities and expanding access to vital community services. So, in late 2006, ASII intends to begin redeveloping and rebuilding homes in the St Claude community with the help of valuable partnerships and the community it serves.
